What a treat to go to Downing Film Center in Newburgh on a Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm and see a great movie. I was feeling like going into NYC yesterday, but not really. Not enough I shall say so it did not happen. Instead, I found that Howl was playing and I could visit New York that way and go to the well of authentic creativity which I was craving. I had the opportunity to hear Allen Ginsberg speak and recite poetry in the mid 90’s in Manhattan. He was coupled at times with Patty Smith, and now reflecting on seeing them at St John the Divine, and St Mark’s Church, along with Phillip Glass etc. I realized after seeing Howl, that all of that, the need to express oneself authentically is what we were all doing in New York. The East Village was still inspired in a cool spirited way. Thank you Allen Ginsberg, and thanks to Howl the movie. It’s well done. James Franco is superb and the movie left me in a good creative space.
November
Astrologically speaking this is quite a month. Planets are going direct as the month builds and so should seeds that we have been planting. If you are attuned you will feel this increase in energy and possibilities. This is a great month to bring expanded awareness to your projects. December will experience some inertia due to Mercury retrograde from December 10-30. Make the most of November!
Once you speak your truth it gets quiet…..
This too shall pass…
I have spent a lot of time in the gotta fix things mindset, and i have been discovering that if i really take to heart that everything passes and not fixate on a feeling, a thought, or a situation and back off to give space, that change occurs. Distancing, Witnessing, allowing, accepting, giving space, are the healers.
my prayer
with eyes closed see everything as it is totally perfect….
any problem as the way it is supposed to be and that you are truly blessed by everything in your life.
without the “problems” you become “too comfortable”
ACCEPTING all of it even that which seems incomprehensible knowing that it is exactly as it supposed to be
This is our freedom!!! This is an inroad to that which gives real comfort!
Earth Day is really Human Being Day
I was walking through Grand Central Station w/ Lulu and it must have been “earth day”, or “earth week” and there was a real simple exhibit with people organizing “earth type” events and a disheveled man was intensely telling his body practitioners how to do the hard sell so people would come in to the stall. We kept walking and browsing and I glimpsed this “earth day” in it’s fancy outward expressions. It’s really human being on the earth day isn’t it? It’s a cry to save us and our life on this earth either as we know it or could know it to be or have known it. It’s a cry to stop corrupting what we come in contact with. The earth will always take care of herself…doesn’t she? She is expanding and contracting with what is. Either you tread wakefully on her or you don’t. She’s the real teacher.
movie musts
A Matter of LIfe and Death, by Michael Powell & Emric Pressburger (“The Archers”) What a hip movie, from 1946. Highly entertaining, a vacillating style. Cool close-ups. A little schizophrenic. Has me thinking about what we can not see, and if their version is at all accurate, I feel more relaxed. David Niven, Kim Hunter & Richard Livesey are all great…the whole production is.
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Directed by Julian Schnabel, based on true story about Jean-Do, done completely in French and in France giving the story great justice. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
My new favorite movie is The Fantastic Mr Fox, directed by Wes Anderson, screenplay based on a story by Roald Dahl, and starring George Clooney as Mr Fox, with many many others. It’s a perfect film! So so funny.
Seven Pounds is a beautiful experience. I recommend it with all my heart. This is inspired poetry on film, with outrageous performances and exquisite film making. Italian director, starring Will Smith…got to love him.
A poem by rumi
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture.
Still treat each guest honorably,
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

The Best Water…Blue Solar
What kind of water to drink has been a question that has recently been answered for me.
I learned this from Dr. Hew Lin, who is the healer from the book Zero Limits.
He says to take blue glass bottles, fill with tap water, seal them, then charge them in the sun.
The sun totally purifies the water. Now that the warm weather is here I do it every day.
Here is a link of where I purchased my blue glass bottles. yum. I also use Saratoga bottles and cork them while i’m charging them, then use the metal cap that they come with when I carry them with me.
Decisions
Make decisions with joy not sadness.
Decision means to cut.
Indecision is a double edged sword.
As you strike it comes back.
Clean up areas of indecision, without looking back.
